DR. CHAUNCEY PERKINS & LYDIA LORD, ERIE, PA

Dr. ChaunceyPerkins was born in Canterbury , Windham Co., Conn. 18 Sept. 1782 and died 24 Sept. 1882 in Erie, Erie Co. Penn.  He married Lydia Lord 22 May 1818.  She was a sixth generation descendant of Thomas Lord who was born in England in 1585 and emigrated to Hartford, Conn. in 1635,  Chauncey completed his medical education at the Universities of New York and Pennsylvania.   He begin his medical practice at Athens, Bradford Co., Penn. before moving to Erie.  He served as vice president of the Pennsylvania Medical Society.    They had two sons and three daughters.  He was a seventh generation member of the Matthew Whipple, Sr. family.  The rest of the details are found in my book 15 Generations of Whipples, An American Story.  Check on “Buy Now” to order through Pay Pal or buy direct from the author.
