The Congressman was born in Shaftsbury, VT and died in Cazenovia, NY.  He attended William College in MA, was graduated from Yale,  and admitted to the NY bar in 1811.  He served in the NY Assembly before being elected to the 18th Congress in 1823, the last Congress to serve during President Monroe’s second term.  He was a Judge following his congressional service.  He and Louise, born in Nelson, NY 18 May 1795, had 7 sons and 2 daughters.  Louise was an eighth generation member of Matthew Whipple family.  The rest of the details are found in my book 15 Generations of Whipples.  Check on Buy Now to order through PayPal or send your check directly to Blaine Whipple to avoid shipping and handling charges.
